During your visit to Paris, you will most likely eat at a restaurant twice a day.  As fantastic as that is, it might also get old.  This Wine Tasting Dinner will be a very special evening in Paris - a real treat!  It's an event created for people seeking something different and a meal they will not forget.  No need to be a wine expert.  The important thing is to love wine and food and to want to have a good time.

You will be taken into a beautiful tasting room where your sommelier will await you with a glass of champagne.  Your 3 course set menu is ordered in advance and freshly prepared by the wonderful Chef.  The menu is always seasonal, so constantly changing and is paired with 3 French wines especially chosen by your sommelier who will accompany you throughout dinner, taking you through a variety of themes to build up and refine your wine knowledge.  The sommalier will share with you the secrets necessary to taste wine properly, to navigate a wine list and to choose the right wine at a restaurant.  He will also expertly guide you through the main wine regions of France, explain to you how to read a French label, and how to pair wine with food.  It's both informative and fun - a unique experience where you get to meet similarly-minded people from all over the world, all seated at the same table.  Together you will enjoy some fantastic French food and taste some incredible French wines.

Minimum age is 5; children 5-16 may not attend unaccompanied; minimum age to legally consume alcoholic beverages in France is 18 but 17-year-olds may do so with a parent present and approving.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your policy with children and teenagers? -- Participants who are 17 years old may taste wine if accompanied by their parents who allow them to do so.  Children ages 5 to 16 are welcome on the tour but their wine glasses will be kept full - with WATER!

Are your tastings in English? -- Yes. However, with advance notice this activity can be offered in French.

Which Champagnes will we taste? -- Good ones - usually one Brut, one Demi-sec and one Rose. All of the selections of Champagne are remarkable. The selection should help you learn more about French Champagne, and discover what you really like and why.

Do I need to bring anything? -- No. Just your smile and maybe your camera!

Any pre-tasting advice? -- Maybe. Make sure you don't brush your teeth right before the tasting, that would limit your perceptions and pleasure in drinking wine!

What's your tipping policy? -- Tipping is not mandatory at all. Yet, if you are satisfied with the service provided, your host will be pleased to accept your tip. The Wine Tastings are not "service compris" (as restaurants are, for instance).
